Recently, visitors to Andringitra National Park benefit from the one-stop system to pay entrance fees and learn about activities available in the park. This system is gradually being implemented in all the protected areas managed by the Madagascar National Parks Association. By this means, the association wants to improve the quality of services delivered to visitors.
A one-stop system at Andringitra
The Andringitra National Park is an essential stop on the southern tourist axis of Madagascar. This protected area is home to an exceptional flora and fauna, thriving at altitude. Indeed, the park is located on an altitude between 650 m and 2658 m. This last data corresponds to one of the highest summits of Madagascar. Since the beginning of 2010, the Andringitra National Park has a one-stop system. This system allows visitors to pay at a single point the park entrance fees, as well as accommodation fees, guiding services and porters. The accommodation concerns the cottage located in Namoly and the camping areas of the park. Along with the payments, these counters have detailed information about the tours and other services available in the park and the rates. Thus, visitors will see the organization of their stay facilitated by the presence of these one-stop shops at each entry point of the park.
The benefits of Madagascar National Parks
The one-stop system does not exist only in Andringitra. In the interests of a better quality of services, the association Madagascar National Parks has implemented this system in all the parks and reserves it manages. These counters are responsible for entry fees, reservations and settlements for porters and guides. In general, the association proposes in each of its parks a range of circuits, which take the visitors to the discovery of the nature and also of the local population. The reception services are carried out by agents trained to supervise visitors. In terms of accommodation, parks have lodges or lodges in and around them. They often belong to private entrepreneurs. On the other hand, the association has set up campsites in the parks. In parallel, it facilitates the logistics aspect by offering the rental of camping equipment. Note that the services offered and their rates differ from one park to another. For up-to-date information, it is advisable to approach one-stop shops or interpretation centers.
