Located in the Mozambique Channel, Nosy Be offers a wide range of beautiful underwater sites conducive to diving. A real natural aquarium, the waters around the island are home to a surprising flora and fauna that will delight divers. Depending on the distance between the site they want to see the coast, they can explore the underwater sea in search of sea turtles, dolphins, or to admire the many tropical fish. And if they come to Nosy Be during their season, they will also be able to swim with whale sharks.
Where to dive in Nosy Be?
In Nosy Be, most sites are about 30 to 45 minutes away by boat, and meet everyone's expectations. The closest coast of the island is Nosy Tanikely, is 20 minutes from Ambatoloaka. It is very frequented by novices and free divers, eager to see corals in particular. During holidays on the island, the more experienced can, meanwhile, go to the surrounding islands, including Iranja or Sakatia. They will certainly be seduced by the biodiversity of these waters.

The specialized centers set up in Nosy Be organize dives adapted to all levels, including baptisms and more difficult outings for those who already have some experience of this sport. They introduce their customers to the natural marine environment by an average depth of 5 to 40 m. Usually, these outings are offered in the morning. Some are however organized at night if conditions permit, to explore the arches and wrecks stranded in the waters of Nosy Be.
